Fred Beans Participates in Mazda’s Be Moved Drive Program to Support Athletics at Abington Senior High School
Fred Beans Mazda of Abington participated in Mazda’s Be Moved Drive Program in early November to raise funds for Abington Senior High School’s athletic department.
Through the program, drivers aged 18 and older with a valid U.S. driver’s license were invited to ride and drive a Mazda vehicle to earn a $50 donation for the high school.

With support from Abington Senior High School’s students, school leaders, parent teacher organization (PTO) representatives, and community supporters, a total of 97 drivers participated, resulting in a $4,580 donation for new equipment, transportation and uniforms for the high school’s 22 sports teams.
"Abington was thrilled to partner with Fred Beans Mazda for the Be Moved Drive Program,” said Abington Senior High School Athletic Director Charles Grasty. “ It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our community together in support of our students. The funds raised will directly benefit our athletic programs, helping us enhance the student-athlete experience here at Abington. We truly appreciate Fred Beans Mazda’s commitment to giving back and supporting local schools.”
Fred Beans Automotive Group acquired its first Mazda dealership in April 2024 with the purchase of what is now Fred Beans Mazda of Abington. The automotive group has since added a second Mazda dealership in Mechanicsburg.
“Mazda is committed to partnering with dealers to help us make a real impact on our customers and team members,” said Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Automotive Group. “The Mazda Be Moved Drive Program is an example of that commitment and serves as a perfect complement to what we are already doing across the Fred Beans Automotive Group to engage with the communities we serve and give back.”
